Quick, Late Night Radar Check

| October 31, 2013 @ 11:19 pm

Scattered showers will continue the next few hours across Central Alabama. The rain has been light to moderate for most locations this evening and it should continue this way for the next few hours. Rain is currently falling in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Gadsden.

We are seeing a few additional showers and storms developing tonight with some heavy rain from Tuscaloosa County up towards Jasper. This line of convection is moving east and could impact Birmingham just after midnight. Unsettled weather will persist through the overnight hours until the front, that is in northern Mississippi, pushes on through.

With some of the heavier downpours, winds are quite gusty and once the front passes by, winds will increase out of the north. Heading into tomorrow, a few showers and clouds could be lingering across our part of the state. Heading throughout the day, weather conditions will be improving and a terrific weekend of fall weather is on tap for Alabama and the Southeast.
