Well, our band of rain and thunderstorms has really come together tonight over Mississippi and it is pushing into Alabama.

The leading edge now extends from Hamilton in Marion County, Alabama to West Point, MS to Canton, MS.

There is quite a bit of lightning between Aberdeen and West Point MS and north of Red Bay, AL along the Mississippi line.

All this activity will be pushing into Alabama during the pre-dawn hours.

There are showers that have developed ahead of the main line in Walker and Fayette Counties in West Alabama. There is also shower activity over East Alabama, including a heavy cell near Piedmont.

There won’t be any severe weather overnight, but occasional rumbles of thunder.
