A Mix of Sun and Clouds

| February 8, 2014 @ 12:28 pm

Improving conditions across the state today after a wintry mix and some slick spots early this morning. All the precip has since ended and we are beginning to see some peeks of sunshine across Central Alabama. To the south portions of the state are seeing more sun than clouds. Clear skies are being reported at Montgomery and Auburn, while overcast and broken cloud decks remain present along and north of Interstate 20/59.

The clouds are trying to break up, and where they have we are seeing those temperatures increase. Temps are approaching the 60s to the south, while in Central Alabama upper 40s and low 50s persist. Locations in the Tennessee Valley continue to see 30s. With any extra sunshine you get today, you will only see temps increase. For most of Central Alabama, were are expecting temps to warm another five to seven degrees.
