Heads up Lamar/Fayette Counties

A heads up for our friends in Lamar and Fayette Counties.

There is a strong bow echo, indicating high potential for damaging winds, that has just pased through Starkville. It is headed toward Columbus MS.

A severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Lowndes County.

Before 9 p.m. it will make it into Lamar County, affecting areas from Millport to Vernon and perhaps up Sulligent.

By 9:30 it will make it into Fayette County.
