A cooler, drier air mass has returned to Alabama today. We have clouds at the writing of this forecast, but we will see a clearing sky this afternoon.
CLEARING: We have leftover clouds over parts of Alabama this morning along with some scattered drizzle and patches of dense fog. Expect a clearing sky today as dry air punches in from the west.
RADAR CHECK: Rain continues this morning, mainly over the eastern half of Alabama… the western counties are dry but clouds linger there. Dry air will move into the state today with clearing from west to east; lingering rain over East Alabama will be over in most places by early afternoon.
RADAR CHECK: Most of the showers have dissipated across Alabama this afternoon; the sky is mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 70s over the northern half of the state.
Drier air is moving into Alabama today and will continue into tomorrow. Both these days will be mainly dry with only a few isolated showers over the northeastern portions of the state today. Highs today and tomorrow will range from the low to mid 80s with more sun than clouds.
A drier, cooler, and refreshing airmass is dropping into Alabama today. The morning rain and storms have exited the state, and many of us are seeing a blue sky with tons of sunshine. Highs this afternoon are generally in the low 80s for most locations.
