It is a beautiful, sunny day across Alabama, and after the chilly start to the day, temperatures are rising into the upper 60s and lower 70s this afternoon, which are 5-10 degrees below average for this time of year.
THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND: We will mention the chance of a few widely scattered showers Thursday, otherwise the weather will likely stay dry through the weekend with a warming trend continuing. The high Thursday will be between 77 and 81, followed by low to mid 80s statewide Friday through Sunday.
RADAR CHECK: Showers continue to rotate through the northern half of Alabama this afternoon as an upper trough moves through. Otherwise it is mostly, breezy, and cool with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Showers will end this evening, and the sky becomes mostly clear tonight.

Tonight will be clear and cold, and with no wind we expect frost to form over the northern half of the state early tomorrow morning with lows mostly in the 34-40 degree range.
DRY APRIL AFTERNOON: It is a breezy, cool April afternoon across Alabama. The sky is sunny, with the exception of some clouds over the northeast corner of the state, and temperatures are mostly in the 60s.
