Highs today are climbing into the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. Tomorrow, cooler and drier air will move into the state with highs falling into the 70s over the northern half of the state, while 80s are expected over South Alabama.
COOLER SPRING DAY: Temperatures are mostly in the low to mid 70s across Alabama this afternoon with a sunny sky. Tonight will be clear and cool with a low in the 40s.
The sky will clear through the afternoon and it is noticeably cooler today compared to yesterday with highs ranging from the upper 60s to lower 70s.
RADAR CHECK: We note a few sprinkles over the northern third of Alabama early this morning along a cold front, but most places will stay dry today. Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine, and the day will be cooler with highs in the 68-74 degree range this afternoon.
Plenty of sunshine and blue sky visible across Alabama today. Highs this afternoon are surging into the 80s across the state, and overall it is a marvelous Monday of weather for Alabama.
Heading into the afternoon hours, we will be feeling a brisk northwest wind with clouds and scattered showers moving into and through the northern half of the state.
The latest drought monitor released this morning, shows the rains of the last week were a big help. All of Alabama is drought free, and no part of Alabama is abnormally dry.
Most of Alabama continues to see more clouds than sun as wrap-around moisture behind the low stretches down into the South Alabama.
Expect sunshine in full supply today through Sunday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s today and tomorrow, but cooler air slips into Alabama on Sunday with highs mainly in the upper 50s.
COOLER: Cooler, drier air is rolling into Alabama this morning. Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine; highs will be in the 50s over the northern half of the state, with low to mid 60s for South Alabama.
CLEARING: The sky is sunny over the northern half of the state this afternoon; clouds over South Alabama will dissipate this evening as dry air takes over. Tonight will be fair with a low in the 37-43 degree range.
RADAR CHECK: Rain is still falling early this morning across parts of Southeast Alabama; that rain will end soon and we expect a clearing sky as cooler, drier air moves into the state. Temperatures will hover around 60 degrees for the northern counties, with low to mid 60s to the south.
Sunshine in fully supply today, and that will continue the rest of the week as we are forecasting sunny, very pleasant days, and clear, cold nights.
