At 9:33 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking Strong Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From Morgan City To Hanceville. Movement Was East At 25 Mph. Wind Gusts Up To 50 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.

Movement Was Southeast At 40 Mph. Winds In Excess Of 40 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.

The QLCS continues to push across Central Alabama and will soon move into the western parts of Jefferson County. There is really no lightning showing up at this time, but you can expect some gusty winds and heavy rainfall as the line moves over your location.
At 8:45 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking Strong Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From Near Eoline To Near Heiberger To Near Marion Junction To Near Orrville. Movement Was Northeast At 75 Mph. Winds In Excess Of 40 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.
A line of thunderstorms will progress eastward across the Florida Panhandle, southeast Alabama and southern Georgia today, with the main severe risk being damaging wind gusts.
NWS Birmingham cancels the Tornado Watch for Fayette, Greene, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, and Sumter counties as the threat for severe weather has passed.
The main threat for severe weather today should be with damaging gusts and a few tornadoes, in a band of thunderstorms crossing parts of Alabama, Georgia and the Florida Panhandle.
NWS Huntsville has cancelled the tornado watch that was in effect until 1:00 PM this afternoon for Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, and Lawrence counties.
At 7:53 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking Strong Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From Near Sawyerville To Near Thomasville. Movement Was East At 35 Mph. Wind Gusts Up To 50 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.
As of 7:50 AM, the QLCS continues to push eastward across the state, with the heaviest activity stretching from Moulton to Berry to Demopolis.
Strong/damaging wind gusts and a tornado threat continue across valid portions of WW 420 this morning, with the potential for these severe hazards to occur being the greatest across the southern part of this watch.
