The wet and stormy pattern persists today through Friday across Alabama with warm and muggy conditions; highs in the low to mid 80s. Rain and storms are possible at any time and when and where the storms develop, they could be strong to locally severe.

RADAR CHECK: A few showers are on radar early this morning over North Alabama… from near Dora to Fort Payne at daybreak. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with a risk of scattered showers and storms, but rain won’t be as widespread as yesterday, and a decent part of the day will be dry with highs in the 80s.
A Tornado Warning is in effect for central Madison County, including Huntsville and Gurley, until 7:45 PM CDT. Radar indicates rotation. Seek shelter immediately.
Strong storms continue over southwest Alabama this evening, with more storms expected to develop tonight across central portions of the state, bringing the risk of damaging winds, hail, and localized flooding.
A Tornado Warning is in effect for central Madison County, including Huntsville and Gurley, until 7:45 PM CDT. Radar indicates rotation. Seek shelter immediately.
Severe Thunderstorm Watch 339 is in effect until 11 PM CDT, covering counties in west-central and southwest Alabama, southeast Mississippi, and the western Florida Panhandle.
The line of storms is making its way out of Alabama, leaving some stray showers behind.
RADAR CHECK: Strong storms with gusty winds and heavy rain are moving through Southeast Alabama this afternoon… the rain has ended for the western counties. Temperatures are mostly in the 70s thanks to the rain; some spots received over two inches today along with some scattered flooding issues.
