At 3:31 AM CDT, Doppler Radar Was Tracking Strong Thunderstorms Along A Line Extending From 8 Miles Southeast Of Pulaski To Near Decatur. Movement Was Northeast At 55 Mph. Winds In Excess Of 40 Mph Will Be Possible With These Storms.

At 2:50 am, strong to severe storms continue to move eastward across the west-central parts of North/Central Alabama with plenty of lightning and strong winds with the line.
At 2:52 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Trinity to near Smith Dam, moving east at 25 mph.
At 2:51 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Brushy Lake to near Falls City to near Jasper, moving northeast at 35 mph.
At 2:48 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Courtland to near Brushy Lake, moving east at 35 mph.
The storm that produced the tornado in Tuscaloosa County has weakened and is not a threat for now. We continue to monitor.

A confirmed Tornado Warning continues for Tuscaloosa and Bibb counties until 3:00 am as the rotational couplet along with a debris signature is located just to the north of I-59/20 and of the Mercedes-Benz plant.
