CALM APRIL DAY: We have sunshine in full supply over the northern half of Alabama this afternoon with temperatures inn the 60s, about 10-15 degrees below average for late April. Some clouds linger over the southern counties of the state where a few sprinkles are still showing up on radar, but those will end this evening. Tonight will be mostly fair and very cool with a low in the 40s. Colder pockets over North Alabama could reach the upper 30s early tomorrow.
SUNNY, WARM APRIL AFTERNOON: The temperature is around 80 degrees across Alabama at mid-afternoon with sunshine in full supply. For some spots, this represents a 45 degree rise from lows in the mid 30s this morning. A big range like this means the air is very dry, and tonight will be clear with a low mostly in the 50s.
CLOUDLESS SKY: Not a cloud in the sky across Alabama today with temperatures in the 67-75 degree range. Tonight will be clear and cool with a low in the 40s.
BLUE SKY: We have a cloudless sky over the northern half of Alabama this afternoon with temperatures in the 70s. Clouds are over the Gulf Coast region in association with a broad surface low over the Louisiana coast; a few isolated showers are over Mobile and Baldwin counties. Fair weather continues tonight for the northern 2/3 of the state with lows in the 45-55 degree range.
NICE SPRING DAY: With a sunny sky, temperatures are mostly in the 67-72 degree range across Alabama this afternoon; a few clouds are across the southern third of the state, but nothing is showing up on radar with very dry low level air in places. Tonight will be fair and cool with a low in the 40s… a few colder pockets across North Alabama night dip into the mid to upper 30s briefly.

DRY AIR MOVING IN: As expected, the sky has cleared across the northern half of Alabama this afternoon as dry air works into the state. Lingering showers near the coast will end this evening. Tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 30s for North Alabama… some colder spots could get close to the freezing mark by daybreak tomorrow.
