PLEASANT SPRING DAY: The sky is partly to mostly sunny across Alabama this afternoon with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. A few isolated showers could form this evening over the Tennessee Valley, otherwise tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 50s.
Enjoy the weather today and tomorrow, it will likely be October before we see weather this nice again across Alabama. We are seeing tons of sunshine today, with a few more clouds the farther north you go as an upper-level low spins over the Ohio River Valley.
COOL START: Temperatures are in the 40s across much of North/Central Alabama just before daybreak… for some places this will most likely be the last morning with temperatures in the 40s until late September or October.
The radar across Alabama is fairly quiet right now, but that will change as we head through today. Expect periods of rain and storms the rest to today and tomorrow. Storms will be strong, and we could see several severe storms across Alabama.
WET AT TIMES: An unsettled weather pattern is ahead for Alabama through tomorrow night as we will deal with occasional showers and a few thunderstorms. A very humid airmass will remain parked across the state, and a surface front will slowly approach from the northwest.
RADAR CHECK: We have a few scattered showers in progress across Alabama this afternoon, but much of the state is dry with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Scattered strong storms will form this evening and tonight across the state
Welcome to May and the new month is starting off more active as rain and storms have returned to Alabama and the forecast. We are seeing a mostly cloudy sky, and showers and storms will increase in coverage through the afternoon and tonight.
RADAR CHECK: At daybreak this morning we have few spotty showers in progress over Alabama, otherwise the sky is mostly cloudy. Scattered storms will develop this afternoon and tonight; SPC has about the northern 2/3 of the state in a low end “marginal risk” of severe thunderstorms
RADAR CHECK: Most of Alabama is rain-free this afternoon, but we do note a few showers over the southern counties of the state moving northward. Temperatures are mostly in the mid 80s, about five degrees above average for the last day of April.
We are in the final hours of April, and the weather is very warm and pretty calm across Alabama. We are seeing a mix of sun and clouds, with only isolated afternoon/evening showers and storms.
WARM, MOSTLY DRY WEATHER CONTINUES: Alabama’s weather won’t change much today. Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the 80s this afternoon… showers will remain few and far between.
ANOTHER WARM DAY: Like yesterday, temperatures are mostly in the 80s across Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine; East Alabama is cooler with mid to upper 70s there. Showers are almost impossible to find… tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 60s.
Little change in the forecast today and tomorrow as we are seeing a mix of sun and clouds, with only isolated showers and storms, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.
WARM SPRING WEATHER CONTINUES: Alabama’s weather won’t change much through the daytime hours Thursday. Partly to mostly sunny days, only isolated showers, and highs mostly in the 80s. Then, we will bring in a much better chance of showers and thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon, Thursday night, and Friday ahead of a cold front.
