
Midday Nowcast: Warm and Muggy; Isolated Severe Storms Possible Later Today
Morning fog has given way to midday sun across the state. This afternoon, the warm temperatures and muggy conditions will allow for some thunderstorms across Alabama.
RADAR CHECK: Most of Alabama is rain-free this afternoon, but we do note a few showers over the southern counties of the state moving northward. Temperatures are mostly in the mid 80s, about five degrees above average for the last day of April.
WARM, MOSTLY DRY WEATHER CONTINUES: Alabama’s weather won’t change much today. Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the 80s this afternoon… showers will remain few and far between.
ANOTHER WARM DAY: Like yesterday, temperatures are mostly in the 80s across Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine; East Alabama is cooler with mid to upper 70s there. Showers are almost impossible to find… tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 60s.
WARM SPRING WEATHER CONTINUES: Alabama’s weather won’t change much through the daytime hours Thursday. Partly to mostly sunny days, only isolated showers, and highs mostly in the 80s. Then, we will bring in a much better chance of showers and thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon, Thursday night, and Friday ahead of a cold front.
WARM SPRING DAY: Temperatures are mostly in the 80s across Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. We note a few isolated showers and storms over far South Alabama… those will fade quickly after sunset.
WARM SPRING WEATHER: Alabama’s weather will stay quiet through mid-week with partly to mostly sunny days and only isolated afternoon and evening showers or storms. Highs will hold in the mid 80s, about 5-7 degrees above average for late April.
