At this point, the heaviest rainfall is occurring along the Alabama/Mississippi state line, especially in parts of Marion and Lamar counties. There is also a band of showers and storms that is producing a good bit of lightning on the eastern side of the area, mainly from Talladega to just north of Phenix City.
