Saturday Noon Update
Strong storms are pushing southeast over South Central Alabama late this morning. They will intensify as they push southeast over the next few hours and a watch may be required. Additional storms will form over Mississippi this afternoon and will move into Alabama between 4-6 p.m., with a threat for damaging winds and some hail. A marginal risk for severe weather is in effect.
Line of Storms Marching East
No warnings currently in effect for Alabama, but there are a string of significant weather advisories along the storms from Jackson and DeKalb Counties into Etowah, Blount, and St. Clair Counties. Heavy rain, gusty winds, lightning and some small hail will accompany the storms.
Strong Storms Moving Through North Alabama
A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Madison, Jackson, Marshall, and DeKalb counties until 7 a.m. Hail of less than 1″ and 60 mph winds are possible.
