At 540 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near New Market, or 9 miles northeast of Meridianville, moving south at 10 mph.

At 506 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Estillfork, or 15 miles south of Winchester, moving south at 5 mph.
At 426 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Oak Grove, or near Sylacauga, moving south at 10 mph.
As of 12:33 pm, we are rain-free across Central Alabama on this fine but hot Sunday. Temperatures are currently in the upper 70s to the upper 80s across the area, and will continue to warm into the upper 80s to the lower 90s.
We’ll be hot with scattered storms today, with the potential of some of those becoming severe.
It’s already a warm one out there at the midday hour, with plenty of sunshine and only a few fair-weather clouds dotting the sky across Central Alabama.
Today will be hot and mainly dry, but rain chances will increase on Sunday. Tropical Storm Arlene is expected to weaken this weekend.
