It has turned out to be a beautiful afternoon across North and Central Alabama as all cloud cover has moved out of the state and we’re receiving maximum sunshine.

We have a mix of sun and clouds out there across Central Alabama as we start to make our way to the midday hour on your Thursday.
Clouds continue to cover the sky across Central Alabama as we start to move into the midday hour on your Wednesday.
There are a few light showers and sprinkles showing up on the radar at this point, mainly over Tuscaloosa County, but most of these may not be reaching the ground.
Radar at 10:46 AM continues to show shower activity over the northern third of the state, with a dry slot in the central parts, with more showers in the south.
Skies across the north and central parts of the beautiful state of Alabama as we approach the midday hour are mainly clear with the exception of a few high cirrus clouds floating over the southwestern and south-central locations.
Other than a few high clouds wrapping around the backside of a low-pressure system that is nailing the southern Atlantic coast with ice and snow, North and Central Alabama is mainly clear at this point on your Wednesday.
For us, all that we will have to worry about is the frigid temperatures throughout the next few days, but parts of Georgia and Florida could see a wintry mix on Wednesday.
Even with the temperatures throughout Central Alabama ranging from the mid-40s to the mid-50s at this point, this would be considered a tropical heat wave to what we’ll see on the first few days of 2018.
As we approach the midday hour in Central Alabama, we have mainly clear skies across the northern half of the area with a few high thin clouds filtering the sun’s rays a little.
Some clearing is slowly moving southward through North Alabama and is very slowly making its way into the northern fringes of Central Alabama, but don’t expect the sunshine to help out much with warming it up any outside today.
As we have reached the midday hour on this beautiful day after Christmas, skies overhead are mostly clear with some high cirrus clouds floating overhead filtering out some of the sunshine.
